From the fields to our hamburgers, USD 365 cafeterias are sourcing local beef from alumnus Jake Strobel. Strobel also happens to be the son of Bus Barn Manager Cheryl Strobel.

According to Strobel, he has supplied beef to the district for the first quarter of the school year. He is hopeful to get the opportunity to continue to work with the district through the rest of the year.
Strobel is a fourth-generation rancher and farmer based in Anderson County. “About half the beef I produce was born and raised right here on my farm. The rest are purchased as feeder calves from neighboring cattle producers here in Anderson County. I take pride in everything I produce on my farm. I raise corn, wheat, soybeans and beef.”
Sourcing beef locally not only benefits the schools and the environment, but also the wallet of the district.
