Six Weeks in School: Student and Teacher Check-Ins

As summer clings to its final days of warmth and humidity, students and teachers at ACJSHS have already spent six weeks in school! With October (and Homecoming madness) just around the corner, we asked them, “How are you feeling about school so far?”

Students:

Josie Summer (Junior): “ Eventful, lots going on.”

Coevin Velvick (Freshman): “Boring! Too much homework.”

Sam Caylor (Freshman): “ Easier than I thought, better schedule”

Kaylee Kummer (Sophomore): “Nothing good to say.”

Grant Nienstedt (Junior): “It has been exciting. Cross country has started, and we have good music for band. “

Teachers:

Mrs. Weldin: – “A blink, and it’s gone.”

Mr. Russell: – “Pretty good … in a perfect world we’d have textbooks already, but it’s not a perfect world.”

Mr. Hadley: – “I’ve really liked it. People have been warm and inviting, I love the students and the school, it’s great.”

Mr. Ball – “It’s been busy! Students are getting into their routines, and I am excited to see how the next few months go.”
