What’s in Your Backback?

By Cambree Miller and Allie Kummer

We went around the school this week to find out what students really carry in their backpacks. Four students agreed to dump out their bags and show us everything inside. Here’s what we found:

Senior Heidi Miller had a total of 21 items in her backpack. She said her most-used item is her Vanilla Cashmere EOS body mist so I can smell like a pretty princess. Her favorite item is her slick-back brush because it helps her keep the perfect hairstyle. Her least-used item? A pink, preppy notebook that she admits she barely touches.

Next, we talked to junior Rayna Kuhlman, who had 17 items in her bag. Her most-used item is her binder, her favorite item is her phone, and her least-used is her lab book.

Sophomore Martin Grogan surprised us with 23 items in his backpack. His most-used item is his binder. His favorite item? A broken pencil. In fact, he has an entire collection of broken pencils. His least favorite is another broken pencil, and his least-used item is a bar of soap he keeps at the bottom of his bag.

The last student we chose to interview was freshman Liz Roberts. The most used item in her backpack is her Aquaphor, her favorite item is her pimple patches, and her least favorite is a folder because “it stores all of her homework.”
