Everyone has had an embarrassing moment at school, but what do ACHS students consider their most cringeworthy experiences? We sent out an anonymous survey to find out, and the responses did not disappoint.
Some students admitted to the classic slip-ups, like tripping in PE or laughing a little too loudly in the cafeteria.
One student shared a particularly awkward moment during a speech class presentation. They had written a very personal speech, but halfway through, they realized they had written too much and did not even understand their main point anymore. “This is really awkward,” they said, before quickly sitting back down.
Another story came from a freshman football player during their first season. Practice had just ended, and the team was in a huddle with Coach Catloth. Everyone was quiet, until someone poked the player, causing him to jump and scream in a high-pitched voice in front of the whole team. Coach Catloth and everyone else froze and stared. “I felt very embarrassed and never figured out who poked me,” the student said.
From tripping in the hallway to awkward presentations and unexpected jumps on the football field, ACHS students have plenty of stories that remind us all that school can be embarrassing, but it makes for great memories.
