Students Share Thoughts on Five-Day Break

By Westin Wright and Landon Totten

The best part about parent-teacher conferences was the five-day break students got afterward (thanks to Presidents’ Day). To see how students spent their time off, reporters talked with Camden Bettinger, Braxton Herr, and Jeremiah Finney about their plans and how the week actually turned out.

All three students said they appreciated the chance to relax and reset before coming back to school. Camden said, “I was glad there was a break.” Braxton shared, “I was very pleased to have the break.” Jeremiah said, “I felt relieved and happy.”

When asked about their plans, Camden said, “I was going to a movie theater to watch the new movie Iron Lung.” Braxton said, “I was going to play video games and sleep in my bed.” Jeremiah explained, “I was happy to hang out with friends and focus on myself and enjoy what I like to do.”

When reporters asked if they enjoyed the break, all three students said yes. Camden said, “Yes, because I was very happy to watch the new movie and I got to eat food.” Braxton said, “Yes, because I got good rest and had fun playing video games.” Jeremiah said, “Yes, because I got to hang out with friends and focus on myself so I would be ready to come back and learn.”

Overall, the five-day break gave students time to relax, have fun, and return to school feeling refreshed.
