Anderson County High School held softball tryouts from March 2–5, with players competing for spots on the 2025–2026 team. Athletes spent the week showing their skills while preparing for the upcoming season.
Several players shared their favorite positions on the field. Sophomore Avery Thompson said catcher is her favorite position. “I would say catcher because my granddad used to play that position, and I play there for him,” Thompson said.
Kylah Stoy and Brooklyn Kellerman both said they enjoy playing third base because it sees a lot of action during games.
The upcoming Anderson County softball roster includes a mix of returning upperclassmen and younger players. Seniors on the team are Addy Kueser, Realynn Morrison, Brylie Kohlmeier, Hedi Miller, Khloe McCarty, Lyndsie Carey, and Kenna Goetz.
