On October 8, Mr. Russell’s Astronomy class went on a field trip to the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson. They had a blast, figuratively speaking.
The Planetarium had a program on “Worlds Beyond Earth” and the search for life. They attended Dr. Goddard’s Lab, which included various demonstrations of rocketry and liquid oxygen.
Then they toured the space museum and saw the actual Apollo 13 command module and a moon rock collected during Apollo 11.
All-in-all, the entire class had a very enjoyable day in Hutchinson at the Cosmosphere.
