Snow Fun – How Students Enjoyed a Snowy Weekend and Snow Day

By Paisley Clinton and Karlie Feuerborn

Last weekend (Jan. 24-25), many students decided to stay inside and enjoy the warmth. But on Monday, after the snow had settled, Timber Vermillion, Truett Vermillion, Trax Vermillion, Vivian Riblett, Ryden Tucker, Bree Schafer, and her brother Kale Schafer decided to take advantage of it. Using her horse Dollar and her dad’s side-by-side to pull the sled around the pasture, they had a blast. Timber said it was a fun time, and she’s glad everyone could join in. She hopes to do it again in the future.

Saturday, Shelby O’Connor spent the day hanging out with Baylee Barnes. Their activities included a visit to a Mexican restaurant and a trip to the Rec Center. On Sunday, Shelby slept in and stayed cozy at home. Monday, however, was packed with activities—she visited the Rec Center twice and later went to the gas station with her sister to grab snacks and drinks. Shelby especially mentioned spending time with her older sister.

Meanwhile, Addison Kettler decided to skip the snow and make a slushie instead around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. She tried adding lime juice, but admitted it didn’t turn out well—she forgot to add sugar! Addison ended up eating about half before throwing it away. She also spent time reading over the weekend, choosing The Final Gambit by Jennifer Lynn Barnes as her book of choice.
