Students Share Ideas for a Printed Bulldog Barker

By Emma Jordan

What would students think about a printed copy of The Bulldog Barker?

The school is considering creating a printed version of the newspaper that students could pick up around campus. It would share information about school activities, sports, and events, similar to the online version. This raises the question of what students would actually want to read.

Students were asked what would make them interested in a printed newsletter, and many of their answers were similar.

Sophomore Kylah Stoy said she would like to see more “student opinionated stuff,” while fellow sophomore Lilly Wadawitz said she would like to see more pictures.

Juniors Emily Sobba and Corey Willard both said they want more sports coverage. Sobba also said she would like to see “the things that choir, clubs, and extracurricular activities have done,” while Willard mentioned wanting information about “the upcoming junior field trip.”

Senior Brooklyn Strobel said she would like “a list of what is going on that week and a follow up on an event that might have happened the week prior.”

Overall, students are interested in a mix of sports updates, student opinions, photos, and weekly information about school events. A printed Bulldog Barker could be a way to bring all of that together for students to enjoy.
