Many people want to know if students here at ACHS think that we are too old for the Easter bunny, so we sent out a survey around the school and received a lot of responses.
The first response we received was from Senior Kris Holloway, who said that it depends on the context of the question. Holloway stated, “Believing that the Easter Bunny is real? Yes, high school students are too old for that. But telling the story of the Easter Bunny and helping with local Easter activities? No, high school students are not too old for that.”
Another response we received was also from a Senior, Katie Garrett, who thinks that we are too old for the Easter Bunny and said that “High Schoolers should know the true meaning of Easter and not that Easter revolves around a mythical bunny.” Freshman Adalyn Clark agrees with Garrett, saying that high schoolers are too old for it. On the other hand, Junior Josie Sumner disagrees with Garrett and Clark, saying, “No! Everyone deserves fun!”
As you can see, the students’ answers differ between those who believe high schoolers are too old and should know the true meaning of Easter, and those who believe we aren’t too old and deserve to have fun. Since Easter was last Sunday, we asked around to see what those students did for the holiday.
Holloway told us that he stayed home and watched “Ghosts all day, and Clark went side-by-side riding with her friends. Overall, most high school students think we are too old for the Easter bunny, and most of those students didn’t do much on Easter. A couple of students think we should always have fun, while others think we should know the true meaning.
